Tanzania national team head coach Hemed ‘Morocco’ Suleiman believes they have done enough homework on how to get a positive result when they face Morocco in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture at Stade Municipal on Wednesday.

While other teams have been playing in the qualifiers for the past five days, the East African nation have had enough time to prepare at Mkwakwani Stadium for the fixture in North Africa following the cancellation of their matchday five clash against Congo Brazzaville.

“So far, we have an amazing group of players who have worked intensively to prepare for this game. The team spirit is high, and I believe that will translate into a strong performance on match day,” said Suleiman as quoted by the Guardian.

“We have reviewed our previous games to pinpoint areas for improvement and analyzed Morocco’s footage to identify weaknesses we can exploit. The players have shown great determination, and I think it's time for them to prove their quality on the pitch.”

Tanzania will head into the fixture minus their lead striker and captain Mbwana Samatta, who has been ruled out owing to an injury. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Aishi Manula is another player, who could miss the away fixture.

Taifa Stars are currently placed third in Group E with six points, three fewer than the Atlas Lions, who are leading the pile while Niger are second on six points.
