Head coach of TS Galaxy Adnan Beganovic has showered praises on his squad following their slender victory over defending league champions, Mamelodi Sundowns on Monday.
Galaxy stunned the Brazilians by a 1-0 win at the Mbombela Stadium courtesy of midfielder Kamogelo Sebelebele with just one minute to finish the first half of the game. The win ended Sundowns 13 game unbeaten run in the league.
The 41-year-old Beganovic took charge from former coach, Sead Ramovic, who resigned following a poor run of results that left the club staring relegation in the face.
Since taking over the reign of the club,Beganovic has steered the club to a smooth path, transforming Galaxy into a formidable force in the league. Following the match, Beganovic could not hide his joy and praised his players for their impressive performance.
"The feeling is beautiful, winning against Sundowns, you can't say every day you've won against Sundowns, It's a beautiful club with so many good players,” Beganovic said in the post-match interview with SuperSport.
“But I'm so proud of my team, how we played tactically in this game and how we played games in February, how we look physically. I'm so proud of this group, all credit to the players.
“We need to enjoy it because what we did in the last three months is unbelievable. I'm so, so happy, "Beganovic said.
