Adnan Beganovic: TS Galaxy moving into third a dream

TS Galaxy coach Adnan Beganovic has described his team’s 2-1 win over AmaZulu FC as a dream after moving into third place in South Africa’s Betway Premiership log table on Friday.

The visitors won the game when Dzenan Zajmovic and Kamogelo Sebelebele scored in the 30th and 38th minutes respectively to end AmaZulu’s five-game unbeaten home run at King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban. Elmo Kambindu netted the hosts’ consolation a minute before the half-time break.

In a post-match interview, Beganovic said his team created enough chances to win the game describing the result as a reflection of thorough planning to neutralize the opponents.

“It is important how we play and prepare ourselves. Tonight, we won because we prepared ourselves tactically," he said.

"When AmaZulu play with three [players] at the back or four at the back, we know what to do. We created more scoring chances but scored just two so in the FIFA international break, we will try to fix this to be serious in the last third. We are now in third place on the log table, what can I say? It is like a dream."

Usuthu coach Arthur Zwane attributed the defeat to a lack of concentration and committing unforced errors in defence.

“I didn't expect the two goals we conceded. It was from our mistakes. We go for a wrong selection of passes then we get chances, four versus two you cannot punish them. If you can’t win games at home, it becomes a worrying factor. We had chances to win and consolidate our position in the top eight. It is a case of character. You can't lose at home like this. You can’t lose games when you have them," Zwane said.

The first away league win of the season saw the Rockets move to within 18 points of leaders Mamelodi Sundowns while AmaZulu have now suffered back-to-back defeats after losing to the league holders last weekend.
