The Uganda Cranes departed the country early Sunday morning at 3:00 AM to face Congo Brazzaville in the final match of the AFCON 2025 qualifiers.
The encounter is scheduled for Tuesday, 19th November 2024 with Uganda eager to end the campaign on a high note. Head coach Paul Put named a 26-man squad for the final game who are aiming to secure their second victory on the road in this campaign after the 2-1 win in South Sudan on October 15.

Amongst the 26 players, KCCA FC’s youngster Shafic Nana Kwikiriza is back in the squad for the Congo match after missing the South Africa match to be at school for his UACE Examination. He made the trip to Brazzaville after joining the team camp on Saturday at the Cranes Paradise hotel in Kisaasi while goalkeeper Mugolofa Mutwalibi of KCCA FC is the only player who has not made the team from the 27 initial summoned player for this double header.
