Tunisia’s Under-20 national team will intensify their pre-tournament preparations against DR Congo in a friendly match this Friday, April April 25 at 14:00 GMT at the Chedly Zouiten Stadium in Tunis.

The international friendly forms part of their fine tuning for the upcoming Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Egypt. With the continental competition set to run from 26 April to 18 May 2025, head coach Abdelhay Ben Soltane is using the fixture to shape his squad ahead of a challenging group stage campaign.

Tunisia have been drawn in Group B, where they will face regional rivals Morocco, three-time champions Nigeria, and Kenya. The squad has now been assembled in full following the arrival of Amenalleh Meherzi, who joins the team from Qatari side Al Bidda SC.

Tunisia will begin their AFCON journey on 1 May with a high-stakes clash against Nigeria. That match will be followed by an encounter with Kenya on 4 May, before wrapping up their group stage commitments against Morocco on 7 May.

The top four semi-finalists will secure qualification to the 2025 U20 World Cup, making Tunisia’s campaign in North Africa all the more crucial.
