Guinea national team superstar Serhou Guirassy returned to scoring form on Saturday in spectacular fashion, netting four goals as Borussia Dortmund thrashed Union Berlin 6-0 in action from Germany's Bundesliga.

Guirassy doubled Dortmund's lead to 2-0 towards the end of the first half before the floodgates opened in the final twenty minutes. The 28-year-old scored three goals in a span of eight minutes to boost his league total to 13 goals for the season to go along with a UEFA Champions League leading 10 goals in continental play.

While one of West Africa's top goal scorers led his team to victory, North Africa was well represented in Qatari football where Algerian hitman Baghdad Bounedjah continued his torrid season with Al Shamal in the Qatar Stars League. The 33-year-old veteran scored both goals in the first half of Shamal's 2-0 victory over Al Khor, moving his team into 5th place on the table. Bounedjah, easily the most valuable player in the Qatari top flight this season, added to his lead at the top of the scoring charts with 17 goals along with 7 assists.

Staying in the Middle East, a move to the Saudi Pro league for the 2024-25 season continues to be a massive success for Comoros national team attacker Myziane Maolida. The 26-year-old former OGC Nice player scored the only goal in Al Kholood's 1-0 victory over Al Wehda, his fourth goal in his last four matches.

In North Macedonia, Uganda national team attacker Rogers Mato came on as a substitute to produce his first goal with new club Vardar. Mato fired in a powerful strike to clinch a 2-0 victory and move Vardar out of relegation danger for the time being. The former KCCA FC star has 3 goals in 20 matches this season in the North Macedonian top flight between time spent with Vardar and Brera Strumica.
