Al Ahly SC has announced the signing of Egyptian winger Mahmoud Trezeguet from Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor.
The 30-year-old signed a contract will span five years, beginning at the conclusion of the current season. The Egyptian attacker will also be eligible to participate with Al Ahly in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup this summer hosted in the United States.
Trabzonspor revealed on the Turkish Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that the deal of Trezeguet to Al Ahly was finalized for €1.6 million, with the player forgoing €100,000 of his salary as part of the agreement.
Trezeguet, who plays as a left winger and midfielder, is currently on loan at Qatari club Al Rayyan from Trabzonspor. During the current season, he has made 16 appearances, scoring 3 goals and providing 3 assists.

Trezeguet has been a main figure for the Egyptian national team over the last seven years. He has represented Egypt in 79 matches, scoring 22 goals and assisting 10 more. He was also part of the squad that won the 2013 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

This return to Al Ahly marks a full-circle moment for the player as he rejoins the club where his professional journey began.
