Al Ahly striker Wessam Abou Ali confirmed that his team is fully prepared to face South African side Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.
According to Al Ahly’s official website, Abou Ali emphasized that the team has prepared well for the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-final and that there is great enthusiasm among the players to achieve a positive result, which would make the second leg in Cairo easier and help them reach the final.
Al Ahly will visit Sundowns in the first leg of the semi-final on Saturday at 13:00 GMT.
Abou Ali added that the players are highly focused on the match and determined to win, which is their main goal. He revealed that multiple meetings were held between the players, and everyone agreed to give their all during this crucial encounter.
He went on to say that he and his teammates aim to reach the final and win the title, in order to achieve a historic milestone — winning the CAF Champions League for a third consecutive time, a second personal title for him, and earning a spot in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup. He affirmed that Al Ahly, as the champions of Africa, are determined to make their fans proud.
