It is always great to see former African national team stars find glory in the domestic league of their country and football supporters in Algeria are witnessing several examples this season in the country's top division Ligue 1 Professionnelle.

One such story is 34-year-old playmaker Ryad Boudebouz, the French-born former member of Les Verts who decided to join legendary club JS Kabylie. JSK fell behind to NC Magra on Sunday but the former Sochaux and Montpellier star leveled the match late in the first half. Burkina Faso national team striker Djibril Ouattara scored the match winner late on for JSK who are now tied with MC Alger on 17 points in fourth position.

ES Sétif also fell behind in their clash at USM Khenchela but ESS scored three goals in the second half, including the winning goal in stoppage time to secure a 3-2 victory. ESS are level on 18 points with MC Oran who did just enough to secure a 1-0 home victory over US Biskra.
