After parting ways with Moroccan giants Raja CA, on Tuesday the Algerian forward Yousri Bouzok was announced as the newest player at Saudi Pro League club Al Raed.

The 28-year-old joins after three years as a member of Raja where he was the leading scorer in Morocco's top division Botola Pro during the 2023-24 season with 14 goals. Bouzok joins Algerian compatriots Amir Sayoud and Mehdi Abeid at Al Raed who currently sit 12th on the Saudi Pro League table. A long-term knee injury to Moroccan striker Mohamed Fouzair prompted the Buraidah club to bring in Bouzok.

Bouzok and Raja decided on a mutual contract termination in mid-December, a couple of weeks after his last appearance for the Casablanca club as a substitute against Hassania Agadir on December 1. The Algerian decided to leave after reported disagreements with previous Raja coach Ricardo Sa Pinto as well as clashes between Bouzok and the club that led to disciplinary sanctions.

The Paradou AC youth product embarks on his first adventure outside the African continent after winning the 2023-24 Botola Pro as well as the last two editions of the Moroccan Throne Cup with Raja. In addition to being top scorer last season, Bouzok was also awarded Foreign Player of the Year in the Botola Pro.
