Al Masry head coach Ali Maher shared his thoughts during the pre-match press conference ahead of the crucial CAF Confederation Cup clash against Zamalek, set to take place tomorrow, Sunday.

Zamalek will host Al Masry at 4:00 PM GMT tomorrow, Sunday, at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria, Egypt, as part of the third round of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.

Ali Maher said: "We hope both teams deliver a strong performance that reflects well on Egyptian football."

He added: "We respect Zamalek, the reigning champions, and we fully understand how tough this match will be."

"The players are fully prepared for the match and always rise to the responsibility," Maher continued.

"Our focus is entirely on the game, away from any external factors," he stressed.

"I have great confidence in Al Masry’s players, and I urge them to maintain their focus at all times," Maher said.

He concluded: "Our ambitions are high, and we hope to fulfill the hopes of Al Masry’s great fans."

Al Masry player Karim El Iraqi also spoke during the press conference, and said: "We approach every match separately."

"We have studied Zamalek thoroughly," he added.

"We aim to win all of our matches," he stressed.

El Iraqi continued: "Al Masry’s outstanding performances are not a coincidence; everyone has put in tremendous effort."

He concluded: "The improvement in the players’ performance is a natural result of the coaching staff’s hard work in recent times."
