Allsvenskan: Manneh continues sparkling form with hat-trick as Mjallby win fourth straight

Abdoulie Manneh continued to be unstoppable in Sweden's top tier Allsvenskan on Sunday as the 20-year-old Gambian forward contributed a hat-trick in Mjällby's dominant 4-1 victory over Degerfors on Sunday.

The Gambian arrived in the penalty area to open the scoring inside two minutes for hosts Mjällby and didn't stop there. Manneh snuck in behind the Degerfors defense to double his tally in the 17th minute and then volleyed in to complete his hat-trick early in the second half.

Manneh was substituted soon after the hour mark with the victory well in hand for Mjällby, who are now in second place after winning their fourth straight match. After a promising first season in Sweden, Manneh is taking full flight with five goals and two assists in Mjällby's first six matches of the campaign.

The club, known for being based in the small town of Hällevik which has little more than 800 inhabitants, is now dreaming of bigger goals in Sweden's top division. Mjällby are now only two points back of league leaders AIK and Manneh continues to be the spark with his early season form showing all the signs of a breakthrough campaign that will interest scouts from bigger clubs.
