AmaZulu FC co-coach Arthur Zwane has described his Durban-based team as a ‘work in progress’ after thrashing Magesi FC 3-0 on Sunday in a Betway Premiership match.

The Kaizer Chiefs legend said this in a post-match interview after the comprehensive victory achieved through goals from Nkosikhona Radebe, Tshepang Moremi and Andiwa Sithole.

“We kept the ball very well and we used the ball very well although I believe we could have done better. We are a work in progress,” he said. Zwane described the win as a perfect response to last week’s 4-2 loss to Sekhukhune United:

“It was not going to be easy coming from a 4-2 drubbing away to Sekhukhune United. But it is how you come back from a setback that shows character,” he said.

The eighth win in 19 league games pushed Usuthu into fifth place in the standings, 22 points behind leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns. Magesi remain second from the bottom, six points away from Royal AM.

Owen Da Gama’s charges must dust themselves off as they travel to Stellenbosch on Tuesday while Zwane’s wards will be on the road to meet Cape Town City on Sunday.
