AmaZulu FC’s new signing Sandile Mthethwa has declared himself ready to contribute for the KwaZulu Natal club in Betway Premiership action.
He spoke to the Durban-based team’s website ahead of Tuesday’s league encounter against Mamelodi Sundowns at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
The defender, who joined AmaZulu from Orlando Pirates two weeks ago described AmaZulu as an equally big club.
“I feel at home. I can’t wait to represent the club and show what I am capable of. This is a big club. This is my new home. I want to make history for myself, my new club and the supporters. I am going to make them happy,” he said.
Usuthu, as AmaZulu are affectionately called, have since welcomed the defender.
“We are excited to have uNyambose on board and look forward to his positive impact on our club,” the club’s statement reads.
Mthethwa quit Orlando Pirates due to limited game-time after falling behind the pecking order with Nkosinathi Sibisi, Deano Van Rooyen and Paseka Mako ahead of him.
The defender signed for the Buccaneers in 2016 after spotting him during a youth tournament held in Durban alongside Brian Hlongwa and Thobela Sikhakhane.
Pirates are the joint leaders of the Betway Premiership log table alongside Mamelodi Sundowns.
