
Amine Gouiri was named Ligue 1's Player of the Month for February after beating PSG duo Ousmane Dembele and Achraf Hakimi. The Olympique de Marseille striker enjoyed a superb month as he took home the award.
The Algerian international scored twice while providing three assists during the month. The 25-year-old assisted against his former employers Olympique Lyonnais as well as Angers, also bagging a brace in Marseille's 5-1 win over St Etienne.
OM coach Roberto De Zerbi praised the contribution of the Algerian previously as the Italian tactician stated he expected Gouiri to be a key performer for the Champions League spot chasers. Gouiri become the second OM player to win the monthly award this season after Mason Greenwood.
