Moroccan midfielder Amine Harit is ready for action after spending months on the sideline due to a calf injury. The news was confirmed by Olympique de Marseille head coach Roberto de Zerbi after the club won their latest French Ligue 1 game against Angers.

Harit last played for the Southern France outfit in October during the Le Classique encounter against PSG where he was sent off in the first half. His nine appearances this season in Ligue 1 have seen the 27-year-old score two goals.

An injury prone season at OM now comes at a cost as the club reinforced their midfield with winter singings. With numerous options in the center of midfield as well as the attack, De Zerbi now might have limited playing time to offer the French-Moroccan.

The Moroccan international's future at Marseille now looks uncertain. De Zerbi stated Harit is ready to play. Nevertheless, the midfielder appears likely to start from the bench.

The former Schalke player broke onto the international scene during the 2018 World Cup after showcasing his skill with the Atlas Lions. Harit, now on his fourth season at OM, unfortunately missed out on the 2022 World Cup after suffering a long term knee injury and last played a substitute role with Morocco at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations last year.
