Goalkeeper Andre Onana has said he hopes Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Fulham on Sunday could be the turning point for the Red Devils.
The Cameroonian spoke to United's website to reflect on the rare Premier League win under new coach Ruben Amorin.
"It’s what we want because we are Manchester United and we are under the obligation to give everything on the pitch. Hopefully, this game was the turning point and from here we move on. We are in this together,” he said.
The former Inter Milan goalkeeper said United players were enjoying the win, thanks to defender Lisandro Martinez’s late goal at Carvin Cottage.
"We have to enjoy it because at the end of the day, when things are going good everyone is happy,” he said.
"Like I always said, we win together, we lose together, bad moments will come and good moments will come. We have to stick together; it doesn’t matter what happens."
United hope to make it three wins on the bounce when they meet FCSB in a Europa League match on Thursday night in Bucharest. Amorin has since urged his charges to replicate their performance shown against Fulham in the Europa League game.
United remain in 12th place in the Premier League table with 29 points, 24 places behind leaders Liverpool with Amorin’s next assignment being on the road against Crystal Palace on February 2, 2025.
