Ezeddine Rahim, the assistant coach of Algerian side CR Belouizdad, spoke about the challenges facing the team’s new striker, Islam Slimani, during his first season in the Algerian league after a long absence.

In a press conference, Rahim praised Slimani’s experience, saying: “Slimani is well-known, but adapting to the Algerian league after being away for so long has been somewhat difficult for him.”

Rahim emphasized that Slimani’s contribution goes beyond his technical performance, adding: “Slimani is fulfilling his role in the team, motivating his teammates, and his level is improving as the team regains its true form. We hope Slimani will return to the level we know him for.”

This season, Slimani has featured in 9 matches for Belouizdad and has scored 3 goals so far.
