Gabon international Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang steered Al Qadsiah FC to a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Sadio Mane and Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al Nassr in Friday night Saudi Arabia Pro League action which Africans dominated.

Ronaldo opened the scoring for Al Nassr in the 32nd minute when he swept home a cross that Al Qadsiah FC failed to clear at a packed Al Awwal Park.

Five minutes later, Julian Quinones canceled out the Portuguese superstar’s seventh league goal of the season. The Al Qadsiah player chested a cross and volleyed the ball into the net in spectacular fashion for the two teams to tie at one-all at break.

In the second-half, the Mexican turned provider as he whipped the ball across the goal mouth where Aubameyang leaped to finish off the ball with a diving header at the back-post.

The Gabon star nearly added her second goal but he was denied by a top save by Al Nassr goalkeeper Bento. Nassr also featured Senegalese Sadio Mane who had a good game, especially in the first-half.

The fourth straight win for Al Qadsiah saw them join third-placed Al Nassr on 22 points from seven games, sitting six points beyond leaders and defending champions Al Hilal.

In another game played on Friday, Zimbabwean Knowledge Musona was on target for Al Okhdood as they drew one-all at home with Al Shabab. The former Kaizer Chiefs forward scored four minutes into the second half to bail out Al Okhdood who were trailing to Tawfik Asiri’s goal in first-half added time.

There were yet more Africans on the scoresheet in the Saudi Pro League with Algerian Riyad Mahrez’s goal from the penalty spot handing Al Ahli Saudi a 1-0 away victory over Al Fayha.
