Kuwaiti club Kazma SC has officially announced the signing of Beninese striker Samson Akinyoola during their training camp in Doha, Qatar. The signing was completed in the presence of the club's treasurer and head of football operations, Mr. Omar Al-Mulla.
The 23-year-old joins Kazma on a free transfer although the club has yet to disclose the details of the deal. Akinyoola’s most recent stint was with Egyptian giants Zamalek SC where he played until his departure in November.
The striker joined Zamalek for a transfer fee reported to be over €1 million in the summer of 2022 from Venezuelan club Caracas FC. During his time in Egypt, Akinyoola made 37 appearances for the White Knights scoring five goals and providing one assist. His contract with Zamalek was terminated by mutual consent.
Kazma SC currently sits seventh in the Kuwaiti Premier League table with 10 points after nine rounds. The team has managed three wins, one draw, and five losses this season.
