Chippa United coach Thabo September has admitted that it would be a tall order for them to finish in the top eight of the Betway Premiership of South Africa.
He said this in an interview with SuperSport Television on Saturday after playing out to a goalless draw against Kaizer Chiefs.
"We still have a lot of work to do. We had many breaks, wrong decisions, wrong runs, but the work the players have put in is good,” he said.
“The most important thing at the moment is that we are keeping clean sheets and the structure is ok. I am happy with both halves. In the second half, Chiefs controlled the game, but we knew that in some moments, we would suffer. We just need to have enough bodies in the box, the right decision, and the right cross. It is a work in progress."
Saturday's result left Chippa United in ninth place, one point separating them from the eighth-placed Soweto giants.
The Port Elizabeth-based team's next opponents are Stellenbosch FC on April 30, while Chiefs face Marumo Gallants.
