Cape Town City coach Muhsin Ertugral has bemoaned fixture congestion in the Betway Premiership as his charge face bottom-placed Magesi FC on Saturday.
The newly-crowned Betway Premiership Coach of the Month for January said this while reflecting on the away game and the 30 days in charge of the Cape Town-based team.
Writing on his Facebook page after the one-all draw with Golden Arrows last Sunday, the Turkish mentor bemoaned fixture congestion and travel challenges.
“After an incredibly tough month with seven games in just 30 days, playing every four days and enduring some of the most exhausting travels, the boys put in an amazing performance yesterday evening,” he said.
“Their resilience, passion, and teamwork truly made us come back. It was just a game--it was dedication and hard work. Seeing it all come together was simply fantastic!”
The former Kaizer Chiefs handler said there was simply no time for his Citizens to recharge as the games are coming thick and fast with an away match to struggling Magesi FC in Limpopo awaiting them on Saturday.
“No time to rest—we are back on the road tomorrow, heading to Limpopo for another challenge on Saturday,” he added.
