Mamelodi Sundowns showed why they have the capability to rack up goals in any given match on Wednesday in a 4-2 Betway Premiership victory at third placed Sekhukhune United.
Four different scorers lifted Masandawana to victory with Thapelo Morena, Lucas Ribeiro and Arthur Sales finding the net while Lucas Suárez scored his first goal since joining in the January transfer window. Katlego Otladisa cancelled out Morena's opener for Sekhukhune but the hosts conceded three goals before star playmaker Keletso Makgalwa scored a second half consolation.
Outside of a slip up against TS Galaxy two weeks ago, the Sundowns winning machine is operating smoothly under coach Miguel Cardoso and the Brazilians now lead closest contenders Orlando Pirates by fifteen points at the top.
Pirates have played four less matches to make the Sundowns lead less imposing than it appears but the Bucs will have to be perfect for the rest of the season if the reigning South African champions maintain this form. An enticing clash between Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs awaits next on Saturday in Pretoria where AmaKhosi will have to be at their best to avoid a painful defeat.
