Orlando Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi says three points is the only language their faithful will understand and accept from their upcoming Betway Premiership game against Polokwane City on Saturday afternoon.
Ncikazi said this in a pre-match interview with Pirates media ahead of the away league encounter against Polokwane City at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Limpopo Province.
“There is no physical preparation that one can engage the team with, it is only analysis. [It is] another cup final for our team as usual. The only language that will be understood is three points. That is the language we can promise and try to deliver," he said.
The Buccaneers are competing on all fronts in Africa and domestically hence the challenge to deliver, Ncikazi added.
“It is a blessing and a burden. Pirates are involved in every competition [so] we must try and manage. We must try and compete in every competition that we are involved in and that is the nature of the team," he said.
The second-placed Pirates, who have four games in hand, hope to close the 15-point gap on leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. Polokwane are going into the match while lying in fifth place, 28 points behind Sundowns.
