While South Africa's top clubs including Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch continue their adventures in CAF club competition there is no club that is benefiting more than Polokwane City in the nation's Betway Premiership.

The club from Limpopo province are now in third place on the table following their second consecutive victory, a 1-0 result over visiting Marumo Gallants at the Peter Mokaba Stadium. Mokibelo Ramabu scored for the second consecutive match by finishing a cross from Tlou Nkwe, making it back-to-back matches with an assist for the left back whose reputation continues to rise.

One club that is not benefiting during this period is Kaizer Chiefs, who are now winless in three matches following Monday's 1-1 draw at TS Galaxy. In a mid-table clash neither team boosted their place on the table with AmaKhosi salvaging a point courtesy of Ranga Chivaviro's goal deep into second half stoppage time.

Magesi FC captured the attention of the nation with their stunning Carling Knockout Cup victory over dominant Mamelodi Sundowns but since then it is nothing but bad news for the top division newcomers. SuperSport United dealt Magesi their third straight loss since the cup victory, a 1-0 result that saw club icon Bradley Grobler provide the match winner again.

A weekend low on goals ended with AmaZulu, Richards Bay and Cape Town City also winning. Results and highlights from three matches are below.
