Sunday's action from the Betway Premiership came to a premature end after the later match between SuperSport United and Golden Arrows was called off at halftime due to lack of light.

After SuperSport's Christian Saile opened the scoring inside five minutes, Velemseni Ndwandwe leveled twenty minutes later and the match was allowed to continue until halftime. With the score at 1-1 and darkness quickly settling in, load shedding in the Pretoria region forced the match to be abandoned with no lighting available due to the lack of electricity.

Earlier in the day, Marumo Gallants and Polokwane City played to a 0-0 draw in Bloemfontein. Visitors Polokwane dominated proceedings but could not find a breakthrough. The success story of the first half of the campaign, Polokwane are now winless in their last four league matches and have dropped to fourth place.

In the later match on Saturday, AmaZulu were well in control against last placed Magesi FC with a 3-0 victory. Usuthu jump into fifth place with the result.

The league resumes play on Tuesday when Stellenbosch host Magesi before an enticing clash on Wednesday when third place Sekhukhune United look to make a statement against leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
