TS Galaxy have enjoyed some excellent moments this season but the Mpumalanga province side are running out of gas down the final stretch. Galaxy were fortunate to escape with a draw on Sunday in a 1-1 result against visiting Sekhukhune United at Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg.
Kamogelo Sebelebele's second half finish salvaged a point for Galaxy, five minutes after Chibuike Ohizu gave Sekhukhune the lead. However, for large stretches of the match the visitors were the more threatening side forcing Galaxy to defend and grind out a result when they needed to push for victory.
The result does not help either team too much. Perhaps feeling like they could have picked up the full three points, Sekhukhune remain in third place by three points but have played two more matches than fourth placed Stellenbosch who will be pushing to outlast Sekhukhune for the valuable CAF Confederation Cup place.
Galaxy are now four points back of Sekhukhune in fifth place but have only three matches remaining to gain ground, making qualification for CAF competition next season highly unlikely.
