FCB Nyasa Big Bullets FC striker Anthony Mfune and winger Peter Banda are in Zambia and Kenya respectively for knee and shoulder surgeries following injuries they suffered last season.
Mfune, who suffered a left knee injury during Bullets' 3-0 win over FOMO United last July, will undergo surgery at Royal Hospital in Zambia before returning home on Tuesday to complete rehabilitation.
Banda, a former Simba SC player, has since successfully undergone right shoulder surgery at AIC Kijabe Hospital in Kenya Wednesday.
"Banda, 24, returns home on Saturday to continue his rehabilitation programme. We hope he will join the rest of the team in training during our pre-season preparations in four weeks," Bullets.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwean defender Collin Mujuru has announced his departure from the 16-time TNM Super League champions after opting to return home.
"As I embark on this exciting new chapter with Green Fuel FC in Zimbabwe, I carry the lessons, memories, and values from my time with Nyasa Big Bullets. I am excited about this new challenge and look forward to giving my all for my new club," Mujuru said.
The defender has followed back home coach Kalisto Pasuwa who called it time on her five-year tenure at the Blantyre-based team last month. The 2025-26 season in Malawi is expected to start in March 2025.
