Botswana’s international Christopher Lemme and Namibian Ambrosius Obry Amseb have signed for Morocco’s second-tier league side, Olympique Club de Khouribga.

Botswana club Township Rollers confirmed the departure of the forwards without any further details.

“Christopher Lemme and Ambrosius Obry Amseb left for Morocco today, where they'll be joining Olympique Club de Khouribga, a side that plies their trade in Botola 2 league,” Rollers’ statement reads.

The 30-year-old Ambrosius and his 29-year-old striker partner Lemme have been Rollers’ reliable players in the past few years. The duo now hope to wind up their professional careers with Olympique Khourigba, where current Botswana national team stars Kabelo Seakanyeng and Tumisang Orebonye transferred before moving on to further success in North African club football.

Khouribga, the two-time national cup champions, are one of Morocco’s oldest clubs established in 1923. However, they have fallen on hard times lately as they anchor the 16-member log table with 13 points, half the tally for leaders Olympique Dcheira.

Meanwhile, the second half of the season for the second-tier league for Morocco resumes on February 8, 2025. To prepare for the league resumption, Khouribga played a friendly on January 29 beating Youssoufia Berrechid 1-0 courtesy of Youssef Shaqron’s goal.

The most immediate assignment for Khouribga is against Raja Athletic in the fifth round of the Moroccan Excellence Cup on February 2nd, a competition making its debut this season which features clubs from the top two divisions meant to provide experience for younger players.
