Township Rollers have recruited highly-rated Cameroonian hitman Bin Swithbert Kum on a two-and-a-half-year contract with the former Botswana domestic league champions hoping to sharpen their attack.

Rollers have confirmed that the striker has joined from neighbouring Lesotho where he was a thorn in the flesh of defenders during his six-year tenure with Lioli FC.

“Township Rollers FC graciously welcomes 26-year-old Cameron striker, Bin Swithbert Kum who joins the Blues from Lioli Football Club in Lesotho on a two-and-a-half-year deal,” the club’s statement reads.

Meanwhile, the blonde-haired forward has sent an emotional farewell message to Lioli FC fans and team-mates. “Saying goodbye brings me mixed emotions,” he wrote on his Facebook page. “It was not an easy decision, but I want to say: ‘Thank you Lioli Football Club.”

He added: “It wasn't always a bed of roses but the love you showed me was unbelievable. Some days we ate together, and spent time in your homes with your family, as we bid adieu, knowing that these memories will always bring a smile. I came as a stranger but I left as family. I can proudly say I have been friends for life now in Lesotho. I'll continue to follow Lioli FC and Lesotho as a Country.”

The Cameroonian announced his arrival in Lesotho football with 12 league goals in his debut season in 2019 and went on to help the team win the domestic league title and cups.
