Botswana's Jwaneng Galaxy FC have parted ways with Dutch coach Pieter De Jongh less than two months after he joined on a two-year contract, replacing South African Morena Ramoreboli.
Galaxy confirmed via a statement the departure of the well-traveled coach who has managed teams in Malawi, Zimbabwe and Kenya.
“The club would like to express its deepest gratitude to coach De Jongh for his dedication, hard work, and valuable contributions during his time with us," the statement reads.
"His efforts will always be remembered by the club and the supporters. We wish Coach De Jongh all the best in his future endeavours.”
The former Botswana league champions have since appointed Seemo Mpatane, who was serving as a deputy, as the interim coach.
The UEFA-Licence holder leaves Galaxy in third place, one point behind leaders Township Rollers after posting six wins and three draws.
