Botswana’s FNB Premiership side, Sua Flamingoes, has terminated the contracts of its left-back Thabang Mooketsi and centre-back Kealeboga Molebantsi.
Flamingoes released a statement on Tuesday confirming the duo’s exit but did not state the reasons behind their premature departure.
“Sua Flamingoes Football Club confirms the mutual termination of contracts with players Thabang Mooketsi (LB) and Kealeboga Molebatsi (CB/RB), whose agreements were set to expire in May 2025. Following discussions, both parties agreed to conclude their contracts early,” the statement reads.
The duo has left the club three days after playing out to a goalless draw with Chadibe FC to pile more pressure on Serbian coach Nikola Kavazovic.
Meanwhile, Flamingoes have welcomed from Kevin Bulala a lengthy shoulder injury lay-off. Bulala underwent the Latarjet-Bristow procedure in Johannesburg, South Africa, in July 2024
