Borussia Dortmund are finding their stride down the final stretch of the Bundesliga season and Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy is leading the charge. Guirassy scored the opening goal of the match and set up the late match winner in Dortmund's 3-2 victory at Hoffenheim on Saturday.
The UEFA Champions League's current top scorer was unselfish at a crucial moment deep into second half stoppage time when he laid off for Waldemar Anton to fire in the match winner. In the first half, Guirassy finished his 17th league goal of the season when Daniel Svensson's hard work set up Dortmund's goal machine.
Dortmund are now back into the picture for UEFA qualification, moving past Mainz into 6th place. Die Schwarzgelben are only three points back of 4th place Freiburg for the final UEFA Champions League qualification spot.
Guirassy now has thirty goals in all competitions with five goals and two assists in his last three matches. The quest for a return to the Champions League continues next Saturday when Dortmund host Wolfsburg.
