Tunisian international Hannibal Mejbri helped Burnley confirm promotion back to the Premier League after a Round 44 encounter against Sheffield United. The top-of-the-table clash ended 2-1 in favor of Burnley.
Mejbri joined the Clarets from Manchester United at the beginning of the season after his loan spell with Spanish side Sevilla ended. The 22-year-old midfielder was instrumental in Scott Parker's team as they achieved promotion to the Premier League after going down a season ago.
Mejbri made 35 appearances, scored once, and assisted three times. Burnley is also home to South African striker Lyle Foster and Angolan international Benson Manuel Hedilazio. Both players were unavailable on Monday evening as they are nursing injuries.
Burnley collected 94 points as they sit second and secure the last automatic Championship qualification spot. Leeds United top the standings with the same point tally.
