Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Put has named a 26-man squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Mozambique and Guinea, with key returns highlighting the selection.
Libya-based striker Muhammad Shaban makes a comeback after missing the last four Cranes games due to injury. Wigan Athletic defender Toby Sibbick has also been recalled following his impressive performances in League One.
Sibbick last featured for Uganda in a 2-2 draw against Ghana in March last year in an international friendly match. St. Mirren right-back Elvis Bwomono is another notable inclusion, while Patrick Jonah Kakande, Karim Watambala, Enock Ssebagala, and Rogers Torach have also been summoned.
Uganda will face Mozambique on Thursday, March 20, at Cairo International Stadium in Egypt before hosting Guinea on Tuesday, March 25, at Namboole.
