CR Belouizdad head coach Abdelkader Amrani addressed the media ahead of his team’s upcoming match against Egypt’s Al Ahly in the fourth round of the CAF Champions League group stage.

Amrani expressed his pain with their display in the first-leg encounter, which ended in a 6-1 victory for Al Ahly. Speaking at the press conference on Thursday, Amrani stated as reported by Ennahar Online: "I always take responsibility even though defeats are always a collective responsibility, not an individual one."

He added: "We didn’t expect to lose by such a score but these things happen in football. What hurt me the most was our performance which was due to a lack of focus."

Amrani continued: "In tomorrow’s match, we must not doubt our ability to win and present a completely different image from the first leg."

The coach clarified: "The first task we must prepare for in tomorrow's match is not to concede goals and maintain focus."

Abdelkader Amrani added: "We have no option but to win tomorrow's match to stay in the race for qualification to the next round of the CAF Champions League."

CR Belouizdad will host Al Ahly tomorrow, Friday, at the "5th of July" Stadium in Algiers, as part of the fourth round of the CAF Champions League group stage.
