Algerian side MC Alger are boosted by the return of experienced striker Andy Delort ahead of the TP Mazembe clash in the CAF Champions League. The French born forward missed two games after sustaining an injury.
Delort moved to the Algerian capital after spells in France and Qatar. He managed to score three league goals in ten appearances. His three appearances in the Champions League have yet to yield fruit.
MC Alger coach Khaled Ben Yahia is elated with Delort's return as they seek to beat DR Congo side Mazembe. A win will help MCA to position themselves for qualification to the quarter final.
Although MCA are happy with Delort's return, coach Ben Yahia stated team captain Ayoub Abdellaoui is out of this encounter. At a press conference on Thursday, Ben Yahia said his charges are ready for the duel.
“99% of the players are ready, except Ayoub Abdellaoui who will be absent due to the accumulation of yellow cards. Another defender will take Abdellaoui's place."
MC Alger will face TP Mazembe at Stade du 5 Juillet 1962 on fifth day of the Champions League. MCA are second with five points whilst Mazembe are fourth with two points.
