Espérance Sportive de Tunis has officially announced that it has taken measures regarding its fans' attendance for the upcoming CAF Champions League match against Egypt’s Pyramids FC.
The match, which is part of the fourth round of the group stage, will take place on Sunday, January 5 at the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo.
In an official statement, Espérance revealed that it had sent four correspondences: two to Pyramids FC, one to the Egyptian Football Association, and another to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) without receiving any response so far.
The Tunisian club emphasized its demand for 5% of the total stadium capacity for its fans as stipulated in CAF regulations.

Espérance Sportive de Tunis informs its dear supporters that the club administration has sent four correspondences regarding the tickets for our upcoming match in the group stage of the CAF Champions League against Egypt’s Pyramids FC. We requested that our fans traveling to Cairo be allowed 5% of the stadium’s capacity, as stipulated by CAF regulations. This is to avoid the issues and challenges faced by our fans in previous events.
Espérance Sportive de Tunis sent the first correspondence to Pyramids FC on December 18. After no response to this letter, Espérance sent a second correspondence on December 26 as a reminder of the first correspondence.
Due to not receiving any response from Pyramids FC, Espérance contacted the Egyptian Football Association through the Tunisian Football Federation on December 27 regarding the same matter.
In light of the lack of replies to these three correspondences, Espérance Sportive de Tunis sent a letter to the Confederation of African Football on December 30 regarding the same topic.
As of this moment, Espérance Sportive de Tunis has not received any reply or answer to the four correspondences.
Espérance Sportive de Tunis informs its dear supporters that the club will continue its efforts during these days leading up to the match to ensure that our loyal fans traveling to the Egyptian capital are granted the permitted number of tickets to attend the match.
Given the strong ties between the brotherly countries of Tunisia and Egypt, the administration of Espérance Sportive de Tunis is firmly confident that it will receive a positive response from the Egyptian side to this request in the few days leading up to the match.
