Krunoslav Jurčić, the Croatian coach of Pyramids FC, emphasized the importance of Sunday's CAF Champions League match against Tunisia's Espérance, stating that there is no alternative to winning especially after losing the last game in Rades. He highlighted the need to make up for it by winning in Cairo to take a step closer to qualifying for the quarter-finals out of Group D.

Espérance will visit Pyramids on Sunday at 4 PM GMT at the Air Defense Stadium in the fourth round of the group stage of the Champions League.

Jurčić added in the press conference that the team went through tough conditions in the previous meeting played in Tunisia due to a large number of players missing because of severe colds. Some players participated in the match while injured, enduring their condition. However, the situation is now different after most players have returned with confidence gained from victories in the Egyptian Premier League. The team has the desire to make up for the earlier defeat and win three points before traveling to Angola for the fifth round match against Sagrada.

Jurčić pointed out that the team has also been suffering from numerous injuries in the league during recent matches. Despite this, they managed to handle the challenges in the last encounters despite the shortage of players. Currently there are still some injuries and decisions regarding the return and participation of some players in the Espérance match will depend on the final training session.

The coach explained that he is not very concerned about refereeing issues or what happened in the first meeting between the teams, where a goal was awarded for Espérance from a clear offside. He stressed the importance of quickly forgetting the matter and focusing on the field. It is essential to make up for the loss and not drop any points in Cairo.

Group D standings in the CAF Champions League:

1. Espérance (Tunisia): 7 points

2. Pyramids (Egypt): 4 points

3. Sagrada (Angola): 2 points

4. Djoliba (Mali): 2 points
