CAF holds draw for inaugural CAF Women's Futsal Africa Cup of Nations

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) conducted the official draw for the first-ever CAF Women's Futsal Africa Cup of Nations today at its headquarters in Cairo, Egypt. This inaugural tournament will take place in Morocco from April 22 to April 30, 2025.


Group Stage draw results


The draw featured nine national teams, which were divided into three groups:


  • Group A: Morocco, Cameroon, Namibia


  • Group B: Angola, Egypt, Guinea


  • Group C: Madagascar, Tanzania, Senegal


After the group stage, the tournament will progress as follows:


  • The winner of each group and the best second-placed team will advance to the semifinals.


  • The remaining two second-placed teams will compete in a 5th place playoff.


  • The top two third-placed teams will face off in a 7th place playoff.


  • The third-best third-placed team will be ranked 9th.


World Cup Qualification:


The two finalists of the CAF Women's Futsal Africa Cup of Nations will earn direct qualification to the FIFA Women's Futsal World Cup, set to take place in the Philippines from November 21 to December 7, 2025.
