Al Masry coach Anis Boujelbene has described Tanzanian side Simba SC as a tough and resilient opponent. The Egyptian club secured a 2-0 victory over Simba in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinals which was held in Egypt.

Despite the positive result, the Tunisian tactician believes that qualification for the semifinals is not yet secured. Speaking after the match, Boujelbene said:

“I congratulate the fans of Al-Masry on the victory but qualification is not secured yet."

"The match was extremely difficult against a strong and resilient opponent and we exerted a big physical effort during the game. The substitutions we made were aimed at preserving the win and the fans of Al-Masry were the key to our victory today.”

Boujelbene indicated: "The return leg has other considerations, and we are ready to handle it. I am very worried because we play a match against Ceramica Cleopatra in the Egypt Capital Cup just two days from Simba's game."

The return leg will take place on Wednesday, April 9th in Tanzania where Simba will host Al-Masry for the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinals.
