ASEC Mimosas head coach Julien Chevalier has revealed his game strategy as they prepare to face Orapa United in their Caf Confederation Cup fixture on Sunday.

The Group C fixture at Stade Felix Houphouet-Bolgny will be crucial for the Ivorian side, who still stand a chance to qualify to the next stage if they win by huge margin and Jaraaf suffer defeat against already qualified USM Alger.

“We have to do the work on this match. Above all, we must not be disturbed by what is happening on the other meeting but already try to do our job here. We must put all our strength and qualities to win this match,” said Chevalier as quoted by CAFOnline.com.

“We will, therefore, roll up our sleeves and push ourselves to seek victory. We are in an important moment.”

Mimosas captain Zouzou Carlos said they will do their part to win the game and wait for the outcome of the other group fixture in Algeria.

“We are focused on the game. We try to motivate the group. We will have to win and wait for the result in Algeria. We are focusing on ourselves. We don't have our destiny in our hands. It's a decisive match, which must be won. We will therefore give ourselves the means to seek this victory. You will therefore see another face of ASEC tomorrow,” he said.

Meanwhile, Orapa coach Gadimang Tiiso promised to end their campaign with a win, now that they have failed to qualify.

“Mathematically, we are eliminated but we will try to finish well against a good team from Ivory Coast. The competition is a great experience for us. Already participating in this tournament has made us grow. We are really happy to be at this level,’ he said.

“We have learned a lot for the future. For me, ASEC, technically and tactically, is the best team in our group. But it's good for us to finish well by beating this Asec team in Abidjan.”

As it stands, USM Alger are topping the pile with 11 points, Jaraaf are second with eight points, Mimosasa are third on five while Orapa have two points.
