CAFCC: Che Malone ruled out as Davids unveil Simba SC squad for Al Masry test

Cameroon international Che Malone Fondoh has been left out of the Simba SC squad which left Dar es Salaam in Tanzania for Cairo in Egypt on Friday ahead of their Caf Confederation Cup fixture against Al Masry.


The Msimbazi Reds will come up against the Egyptian side in the first leg of the quarter-final clash at the New Suez Stadium on Wednesday, 2 April, before they return home to host the same side in the return leg on Wednesday, 9 April.


While naming his travelling squad, South African coach Fadlu Davids omitted Malone from the squad. In a recent interview, Simba SC Media Officer confirmed to Pan-Africa Football that Malone was in Morocco undergoing treatment for a knee injury.

On the fitness of Che Marone, Ally said: “The news about our player Che Malone is that he is currently in Morocco undergoing treatment and later our doctors will inform us when he will be available to return to the field to continue with his duties.”


However, Malone was in the stands at KMC Stadium as Simba defeated minnows Bigman 2-1 to advance to the next stage of the domestic Federation Cup on Thursday.
