CAFCC: CS Constantine coach Madoui disillusioned after 1st leg debacle: “I didn’t recognize my team”

Dejected after the heavy defeat suffered by CS Constantine against Renaissance Sportive de Berkane (0-4), CSC coach Khaireddine Madoui delivered a lucid analysis tinged with bitterness.

At the press conference, the Algerian coach didn't mince his words, pointing to his players' nervousness and the opponent's solidity.

"It's a very difficult defeat to take, we didn't expect this," he said at the outset, before adding: "To be honest, I didn't recognize my team today."

The Algerian coach highlighted the impact of the goal conceded in the opening seconds: "That early goal completely destabilized us. It shattered our concentration and sowed doubt in our minds, which influenced the rest of the match."

Acknowledging RS Berkane's superiority, Madoui emphasized that his team had paid dearly for its mistakes: "They're a very organized team, with experience and efficiency. We can't afford the slightest mistake against an opponent like that." »

Finally, the CSC coach discussed the psychological pressure on his players: "The context of the match, the stakes, and undoubtedly the tension of this semifinal had their effect. We will try to correct our shortcomings for the return leg. Nothing is over, even if the mission promises to be very complicated."
