CS Constantine coach Khaireddine Madoui thinks that his team's CAF Confederation Cup match against Tanzanian giants Simba SC on Sunday will be a tough encounter and a final in its own right.
CS Constantine will face Simba SC in Tanzania tomorrow, Sunday, as part of the 6th and final round of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage. CSC lead Group A with Simba in second place searching for a victory to overtake the Algerian club as group winners.
The match will take place behind closed doors at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium at 1:00 PM GMT in a clash that will determine the group winner. CS Constantine currently tops Group A with 12 points, holding a two-point lead over Simba.
The match will be played behind closed doors due to a CAF sanction imposed on Simba following incidents during their game against Tunisia's CS Sfaxien in the third round of the group stage.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, CS Constantine head coach Kheireddine Madoui said as reported by Ennahar Online: "The match against Simba is a final for the top spot. We have prepared for it just like any other match."
He added, "The match will be tough and complicated. It will come down to small details, and we will give our all to win and secure first place in the group."
Regarding the absence of fans due to the sanction on Simba, Madoui commented, "The lack of spectators makes the game more balanced, especially knowing how strong our opponents are when their fans are present. Nevertheless, the match could be a tricky one and we must remain very cautious."
