For the third time in the last four editions, RS Berkane will be in the CAF Confederation Cup final following Sunday's 0-1 semifinal second leg defeat at Algeria's CS Constantine. Berkane qualified by virtue of their 4-0 first leg victory at home which was too much for CSC to overcome at home for the second leg in Algeria.

It was an excellent effort from hosts CSC who created plenty of danger against their Moroccan opponents but could only manage one goal, an early second half header by Abdennour Belhocini from Brahim Dib's corner kick.

RSB were content to utilize their strong defense to disrupt the attacking efforts of CSC who did all they could to cut into the deficit from the first leg. Heavy rain made things more difficult for the hosts in the first half before they finally scored early in the second half to create some momentum.

Despite creating some good opportunities, the mountain was too high to climb for the Algerian club. RS Berkane will now look for their third Confederation Cup trophy in the last six seasons when they take on Tanzania's Simba SC. The first leg will be in Berkane on May 17 before Simba hosts the second leg on May 25.
