Simba SC captain Mohammed Hussein believes they have prepared more than enough to take on Bravos do Marquis in their crucial Caf Confederation Cup fixture on Sunday.

The Tanzanian giants will go into the must-win Group A fixture at Estadio 11 de Novembro in Talatona seeking to seal their place in the next stage of the competition. As it stands, Simba are second on the table with nine points, the same number as CS Constantine, who will face last placed CS Sfaxien at Stade Mohamed-Hamlaoul also on Sunday.

“Our last victory in Tunisia gave us a massive boost in terms of confidence, and we are going into this game against Bravos with even more belief in our abilities,” said Mohammed in an interview with the media ahead of the game as quoted by the Daily News.

“We are travelling to Angola with a strong desire and morale to secure a win away from home. Our preparations for this match have been excellent, and we’re confident we can deliver a good performance.”

On whether Simba will be under pressure, Mohammed responded: “We are not feeling any pressure. We want to assure our fans and members of Simba that we are fully committed to fighting for the win. We ask our supporters to keep us in their prayers as we give everything on the field to make them proud.”

Bravo do Maquis boast a strong home record in the competition, having won both of their home matches with a 3-2 scoreline, defeating CS Sfaxien and CS Constantine.
