RS Berkane laid siege to the Stade Malien defense for long stretches on Sunday in Group B of the CAF Confederation Cup and it took until the 88th minute for the Malian club to break. Burkina Faso national team central defender Issoufou Dayo's penalty kick just snuck by Stade Malien goalkeeper N'Golo Traoré for the only goal of the match in a 1-0 victory as RSB remain unblemished in the group stage through three matches.

High ambitions gave way to early disappointment for South Africa's Stellenbosch FC at the beginning of Group B but Stellies are back in contention following Sunday's 1-0 victory over CD Lunda Sul in Angola. Devon Titus struck late in the second half for a crucial goal that gives the Western Cape club their first-ever CAF club competition group stage victory and moves them within range of second place.
