Defending CAF Confederation Cup winners Zamalek were denied the full three points on Sunday by an excellent comeback from hosts Enyimba in Group D action from Nigeria. Chinedu Ufere's deflected strike ensured the teams shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw, leaving Zamalek on four points at the top of the group while Enyimba earn their first point of the group stage.
After the half hour mark it appeared Zamalek were heading for victory when Seifeddine Jaziri and Omar Faraj took advantage of amateur defending from the hosts to make it 2-0 by the 40th minute. However a goal just before halftime gave Enyimba the momentum they needed to take the match to the Cairo club and Ufere's strike came after a good team attack.
Later on Sunday, Mozambique's Black Bulls came from a goal down to claim a point in their 1-1 draw with Al Masry. Black Bulls central defender Nene headed in from a corner kick in second half stoppage time to cancel out an early Mido Gaber strike and give the young Mozambican club its first-ever point in CAF club competition.
