Zamalek are the winners of Group D in the CAF Confederation Cup after the White Knights defeated Mozambican champions Black Bulls by a 3-1 score in Cairo on Sunday.

Forced to host the match in Cairo due to unrest in Mozambique, Black Bulls fell behind early in the second half to a goal from Hossam Ashraf, who doubled his tally less than two minutes later. Ejaita Ifoni provided a response for Black Bulls soon after the hour mark but Zamalek legends Shikabala and Ahmed Sayed "Zizo" combined to put the Egyptian giants beyond reach.

In the other Group D match played in Nigeria, Enyimba remain in the chase for second place but fell short in their quest for victory at home against Al Masry in a 1-1 draw. The Egyptian club took advantage of poor marking to open the scoring with a well crafted set piece inside ten minutes.

Ifeanyi Ihemekwele leveled for hosts Enyimba soon after halftime but Masry held on for a valuable point away from home.

Al Masry remain in the driver's seat one point clear of Enyimba in second place with a home match against Black Bulls, two points behind in fourth place, to conclude Group D play. Enyimba now have to win at Zamalek next Sunday and hope that Black Bulls can avoid defeat at Al Masry for the Nigerian club to qualify for the quarterfinals.
